Potresna fotografija na kojoj se vidi tijelo trogodišnjeg Aylana Kurdija što ga je more izbacilo na plažu turskoga ljetovališta Bodruma, preplavila je u srijedu društvene mreže, pokrenuvši val reakcija u svijetu. I Aylanov petogodišnji brat Galip i njihova majka Rehan (35) utopili su se kada je njihov brod potonuo nastojeći doploviti do grčkoga otoka Kosa.
Njegov otac Abdulah pronađen je u polusvijesnom stanju i prebačen u bolnicu blizu Bordruma, piše turski list Sabah.
"Čula sam vijesti jutros u pet", govori Teema Kurdi, Abdulahova sestra koja živi u Vancouveru, piše kanadski list National Post. O tragičnoj vijesti obavijestila ju je supruga jednog od Abdulahove braće.
Umjetnici širom svijeta odlucili su crtežima odati počast preminulom Aylanu koristeci hashtagove #KiyiyaVuranInsanlik ili #HumanityWashedAshore.
